The Senior Manager, Search & Evaluation will support R&D efforts by evaluating potential partnerships and acquisitions while collaborating with various functions within the organization. Responsibilities • Maintain databases of target opportunities and prior evaluations • Conduct disease landscape evaluations using internal resources and external vendors • Monitor industry changes, trends, conferences, and scientific literature • Support data gathering, analytics, and external networking • Travel to industry meetings and conferences (10–20% of time) • Support deal leads by coordinating R&D diligence across relevant functions • Perform initial technical evaluations of opportunities (mechanistic rationale, preclinical evidence, clinical utility, regulatory feasibility) • Assess opportunities from a business perspective (unmet need, competitive landscape, strategic fit) • Collaborate with Corporate Development and New Product Planning to synthesize findings into recommendations • Track evaluations, prepare diligence summaries, and present findings to senior leadership • Represent R&D in external interactions with KOLs, companies, and academic institutions • Manage KOL contracts and contribute to outreach/network expansion • Maintain quarterly neuroscience/oncology pipeline prioritization scoresheet • Support advisory boards and other strategic R&D initiatives Skills • Strong scientific and business acumen with experience in drug development (neuroscience and/or oncology preferred) • Ability to evaluate complex scientific, clinical, and regulatory data • Excellent communication, presentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills • Prior experience in business development, licensing, or R&D strategy Benefits • Eligible for discretionary annual bonus and long-term equity incentive plan • Comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), flexible paid vacation, parental leave, and wellness programs Company Overview • At SoTechTalent, we specialise in connecting forward-thinking tech companies with world-class talent.
