SoTalent is seeking an Associate, Market Risk to support liquidity risk oversight and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. This role involves monitoring liquidity risk exposure, strengthening governance practices, and providing insights into the firm’s risk position relative to the broader market. Responsibilities • Monitoring liquidity risk metrics in alignment with regulatory standards and internal liquidity policies • Interpreting and applying U.S. regulatory requirements and corporate liquidity guidelines • Documenting liquidity assumptions and developing procedures supporting daily and monthly liquidity processes • Identifying emerging liquidity risk issues and contributing to mitigation strategies before risks escalate • Tracking early warning indicators and supporting contingency planning for liquidity events • Assisting with data validation, reconciliation, and analysis to ensure accuracy and reliability • Supporting the implementation and ongoing enhancement of liquidity risk measurement methodologies • Benchmarking the firm’s liquidity risk profile against industry data and market trends • Participating in discussions with senior management related to liquidity and market risk exposure Skills • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience) • 3–5 years of experience in risk management, controls, or market risk • 3–5 years of experience working in a technology-enabled environment • Strong understanding of market and liquidity risk frameworks, governance models, and control practices • Experience performing analytical risk assessments and preparing insights for senior leadership • Familiarity with financial services workflows and associated risks, including origination, underwriting, servicing, and collections/workout • Technical proficiency with tools such as Python, VBA, Java, SQL, or Tableau • Ability to work independently in a complex, matrixed organization and collaborate across teams, regions, and functions • Strong conflict resolution skills and the ability to influence outcomes across stakeholders • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and evolving regulatory or business requirements • A strong sense of urgency and ownership, with the ability to drive projects through completion • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Strong analytical, organizational, and project management capabilities Company Overview • At SoTechTalent, we specialise in connecting forward-thinking tech companies with world-class talent.
