If you’re motivated by hard problems, high impact, and the chance to leave a legacy, we’d love to talk. The Role We’re looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our founding engineering team. You’ll work alongside the CTO and other engineers to build Soris’ first MVP. This is a ground-floor opportunity where your work will directly shape the platform, culture, and impact of Soris. Candidates with a good fit for this role: • Consider themselves full stack (strong in either frontend or backend, with good proficiency in the other). • Want to ship fast, iterate, and own outcomes. • Thrive in ambiguity, asking questions and solving problems across the stack. • Believe in building systems that are secure, transparent, and human-friendly. What You’ll Do • Design and build core AI systems that solve real-world problems. • Collaborate with product to integrate agentic workflows into the core platform. • Take ownership of technical decisions, balancing speed, quality, and compliance. • Help shape our engineering culture: document decisions, write tests, and set the tone for craftsmanship. • Work closely with early stakeholders to deliver solutions that solve real pain points. • Contribute across the product lifecycle: architecture, implementation, testing, deployment, and monitoring. Requirements • Strong communication and collaboration skills; you can explain trade-offs clearly and listen well. • A builder’s mindset: bias for action, ownership mentality, and curiosity to learn new tools quickly. • 6+ years of full-stack engineering experience. • Proficiency in one area (front-end or back-end), with strong working knowledge of the other: • Frontend: React/Next.js (or similar modern frameworks). • Backend: Python/FastAPI, Go, or Node.js with strong API design skills. • Experience with databases (SQL/NoSQL), cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP), and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub actions). • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform is a huge plus!) Nice-To-Haves • Strong experience building or integrating AI agents into production systems. • Background in highly regulated industries (HIPAA, SOC2, HITRUST, PCI, etc.). • Experience with payment rails (Stripe, SVB, Square etc.). • Experience optimizing payment flows, financial reconciliation, or compliance-heavy data pipelines. • Contributions to early-stage startups or small teams where wearing multiple hats was key. • Knowledge of security and compliance best practices for handling sensitive customer and financial data.
