POSITION SUMMARY Sony Corporation of America is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern with strong video production and editing skills to support the team on various initiatives and gain hands-on corporate experience. The role includes the opportunity to contribute to a capstone project involving video production with a collaborative and informative focus. This internship is an excellent fit for individuals interested in corporate communication strategy, graphic design, and/or visual development, with a particular focus on developing and sharing knowledge about the various Sony Group Corporation operating companies within the United States. This position will be on a part time internship of 20-24 hours and fully in person with 3 days per week (Monday, Tuesday, & Thursday) in the New York City office at 25 Madison Avenue. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Assist in the production of written, graphic and video content, contributing to various projects and internal campaigns with a focus on video editing and production Liaise with internal contacts to gather needed content/visual assets, ensuring that they are categorized and easily accessible for team use Organize and maintain the departmental project asset library, ensuring all files are properly categorized and up-to-date Perform organizational research and analyze accrued content for authenticity Support the planning and execution of special events such as special film screenings and high-level leadership forums, contributing to logistics and visual presentation Support the SCA Corporate Communications department with general departmental and administrative duties QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION Your qualifications and experience should include: Current college/university senior with a minimum of a 3.0 GPA Intermediate or advanced digital video editing and production experience required (evidenced via previous coursework or personal portfolio samples), with an understanding of Adobe Premiere Pro and/or Adobe After Effects Experience with other image editing software, such as Adobe Photoshop, preferred An understanding of the operational importance of effective communications, graphic/visual development and file management Familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite; with Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint in particular An interest in the fields of media, entertainment and technology Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Strong research and content production instincts, with the ability to convey complex ideas effectively and concisely Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively The target hourly rate for this internship is $19.00 per hour.
