The Head of Retail is responsible for leading retail and wholesale growth initiatives and expanding distribution channels across national and big-box retailers. This role owns retail revenue performance, strategic account development, and team leadership while building and leveraging a strong retail network to drive sustainable growth. The position requires both strategic oversight and hands-on leadership, including managing people, owning revenue targets, and developing high-impact retail partnerships across direct buyer relationships and rep-led accounts. Core Focus Areas • Ownership of retail revenue performance and growth strategy • Expansion and management of national, big-box, and club retail partnerships • Leadership and development of a retail or wholesale sales team • Strategic account development across direct buyer and rep-group relationships • Optimization of retail distribution and go-to-market strategy • Cross-functional alignment across sales, marketing, and operations Required Experience • Proven retail revenue ownership, with responsibility for a minimum of $5M+ in retail revenue • Established retail network, including direct relationships with retail buyers and experience working with rep groups • Demonstrated people leadership experience, including managing, developing, and scaling sales teams • Experience working with major national, big-box, and club retailers, such as Costco, Walmart, Target, BJ’s, and similar accounts • Proven ability to manage both direct-to-buyer relationships and rep-led accounts effectively • Experience operating in high-growth, consumer, DTC, or omnichannel environments • CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, or equivalent) • Retail account management and order systems Compensation: $120,000 - $150,000 Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
