Job Title: Research Manager Location: Remote (Chicagoland Area a plus) | Type: Full-Time About Our Client Our client is a small, fast-growing market research company that sits in the sweet spot between user-friendly DIY survey platforms and the deep expertise of full-service agencies. They are a values-based business driven by a customer-first mindset, a passion for high-quality work, and a belief that a fun, collaborative culture is key to success. As they continue to scale, they are looking for a key team member to help build their research function. The Opportunity We are seeking a curious, detail-oriented, and proactive Research Manager to join our client's team of industry veterans. This is not a behind-the-scenes role; you will be a client-facing member of the team, responsible for supporting and, in some cases, owning the execution of quantitative research projects from start to finish. You will support senior Account Directors, but you will also have the opportunity to lead your own projects, help build new research processes, and have a real voice in how the company grows. This is a unique opportunity to build your career as you help build a company, with direct access to highly experienced research leaders and a wide variety of exciting projects. Key Responsibilities • Project Execution & Management: Lead the process of translating research design into execution, including survey programming, field management, and quality control for a diverse portfolio of projects. Keep projects on track to meet client deadlines. • Data Analysis & Storytelling: Process and tabulate survey data, and design tables and report deliverables that tell a cohesive and actionable story for the client. • Client Partnership & Communication: Act as a client-facing member of the team, attending client calls and meetings (via Zoom), supporting client communication, and helping to draft research proposals and contracts. • Process & Platform Support: Translate study designs into surveys using the company's proprietary platform, ensure high-quality fielding in partnership with a network of sample providers, and manage supplier relationships. What You Bring Required Qualifications • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. • 3+ years of experience in quantitative market research, with at least 1 year of supplier-side research experience preferred. • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel. • Experience with survey programming platforms (e.g., Qualtrics, Survey Monkey, Alchemer) or the ability and willingness to learn quickly. • An analytically driven mindset with a strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. • The ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage multiple projects at the same time. Preferred Qualifications • Experience with statistical software such as SPSS, R, Q, or Displayr is a strong plus. • Experience with advanced analytics techniques. • Based in the Chicagoland area for potential in-person collaboration opportunities.
