Requires 5+ years in quality assurance or operations compliance, with experience leading audits and RCCA processes, and a relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Description We are seeking a seasoned Manager of Quality Operations to ensure our internal quality standards compliance. In this high-impact role, you will be responsible for enforcing quality and process adherence across our entire operation—spanning Warehouse, Production, and Sales Fulfillment. You will ensure that our internal teams are executing to the standard. You will design and lead the audit frameworks that validate product quality, and internal value streams, and operational compliance. Your mandate is to ensure that every product we touch and every order we ship meets and exceeds the customer expectations - internally and externally. Key Responsibilities Operational Audit & Process Enforcement Execute a rigorous internal audit schedule to validate adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across Warehouse and Production floors. Ensure that the process designed by Engineering is the actual process being followed. Lead formal investigations into process failures, quality defects, and safety incidents. Facilitate investigations to identify the true root cause and verify that permanent corrective actions are implemented. Conduct random sampling of outbound orders to ensure 100% alignment with Sales requirements. Production & Finished Goods Quality Establish quality gates. Inspect custom merchandise to ensure it meets visual and functional quality standards before entering inventory. Track internal defect rates and use RCCA logic to drive them down. Hold teams accountable to quality targets and exercise the authority to halt operations if quality standards fall below the acceptable threshold. Audit the physical condition of stored inventory. Ensure that product in the racks is not damaged, dusty, or improperly staged, preserving the value of the asset. Training Validation & License to Operate Perform and record proficiency observations to validate that new hires have actually mastered their specific job function before being released to work independently. Ensure that the most current version of every SOP is physically posted and accessible at the point of work. Audit the floor to ensure obsolete instructions are removed. Requirements Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, Engineering, or related field preferred. Equivalent years of relevant operational experience (8+ years) may be substituted for a degree. Experience: 5+ years in Quality Assurance, Operations Compliance, or Production Management within a high-volume environment. Methodology: Demonstrated experience leading Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) loops, including Fishbone diagrams, 5 Whys, or 8D problem-solving formats. Audit DNA: Proven experience acting as an internal auditor or compliance officer. Comfortable having difficult conversations with peers and staff regarding non-compliance. Skills: Uncompromising Standards: The ability to stop a shipment or a production line if quality standards are not met. Conflict Resolution: Ability to hold Operations leaders accountable to standards without disrupting the partnership. Detail Orientation: The ability to spot a labeling error, a stitching defect, or a process deviation that others miss.
