Branding Specialist Remote | Somerled Designs | flex-time, W-2 Hourly Candidates must reside in one of the following states: Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Ohio, Tennessee, Texas, Utah About Us Somerled Designs is an interior design firm specializing in data-driven design for short-term rentals, such as Airbnb, VRBO, boutique hotels, and vacation rentals. We aim to ensure the long-term success of our clients' investment properties through research-informed design strategies. Our primary target audience includes short-term rental investors. Role Overview We’re looking for a creative and detail-oriented Branding Specialist to join our team. In this role, you’ll oversee branding projects for short-term rental (STR) properties, working directly with clients to create unique, market-ready visual identities for their homes. From naming strategy and logo design to color palettes, typography, and brand storytelling, you’ll help shape how each property looks, feels, and connects with its target audience. You’ll ensure every project reflects Somerled’s design philosophy while enhancing the story, personality, and profitability of our clients’ listings. Key ResponsibilitiesClient Relations (Branding) • Serve as the primary point of contact for branding clients throughout their project. • Guide clients through the creative process, gathering input, managing timelines, and communicating updates with professionalism and clarity. • Ensure every client enjoys a seamless and positive experience from kickoff to final brand delivery. Brand Development for STR Properties • Lead the creation of Branding Decks that define each property’s visual identity including name, logo, color palette, fonts, and mood direction. • Translate the property’s story, location, and target guest demographic into a cohesive and compelling brand. • Maintain high design standards and consistency across all branding deliverables. • Ensure each project aligns with Somerled’s visual style and enhances the client’s marketing potential across platforms like Airbnb and social media. Naming Strategy • Develop creative, strategic property names that reflect the property’s character, experience, and intended guest audience. • Write engaging descriptions and rationale to explain the story behind each name. • Collaborate with clients to finalize a name that aligns with their vision and the property’s overall identity. Working with Graphic Designers • Brief creative contractors on project goals, timelines, and deliverables. • Source and manage graphic designers as needed to support branding deliverables. • Review and provide constructive feedback on creative work to ensure alignment with Somerled’s quality standards and client expectations. Project Handoff (Branding) • Finalize and deliver brand decks and creative assets in a polished, client-ready format. • Ensure all assets are properly organized, accurate, and ready for client use. • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure brand elements are successfully integrated into the property’s design and marketing materials. Cross-Team Collaboration • Work closely with Client Success Managers (CSMs), Design Managers (DMs), and Project Managers (PMs) to ensure smooth coordination between branding and design deliverables. • Align branding timelines with project milestones to ensure a seamless client experience. • Communicate proactively across departments to keep projects on track and resolve issues efficiently. Team Operations • Report to the Sr Branding Specialist and Client Marketing Director, contributing to continuous process improvements and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) updates. • Support onboarding and provide feedback to graphic design contractors or interns. • Help identify opportunities to improve efficiency and scale Somerled’s branding program as it grows. Qualifications • Experience: 2+ years in branding, creative marketing, or visual communications. • Creative Skills: Strong understanding of naming strategy, logo development, typography, and visual storytelling. • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with branding for short-term rentals, real estate, or hospitality is highly preferred. • Project Management: Ability to oversee multiple creative projects, manage deadlines, and maintain attention to detail. • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; confident working directly with clients. • Tools: Proficiency in Canva and Monday.com.
