The Impact You’ll Make in this Role As a Senior Manager, Finance Communications, You will support and enhance how the company communicates its financial performance, strategy, and long-term value creation story to key external stakeholders, including analysts, investors, and financial media. This role sits within the Investor Relations and Finance Communications team and plays a critical role in ensuring clear, credible, and consistent messaging across all external financial communications. Operating in the Healthcare MedTech and MedDevice sectors, this position requires strong judgment, precision and comfort working in a highly regulated, highly scrutinized public-company environment. An individual-contributor role with significant exposure to and partnership with Finance, Legal Affairs, Communications, Commercial teams, and Executive Leadership. Success requires the ability to influence within a matrixed organization and partnership to thoughtfully expand the company’s external visibility and engagement with financial stakeholders, while maintaining appropriate disclosure discipline. Here, you will make an impact by: Investor Relations & Financial Communications · Partner closely within the Investor Relations and Finance Communications team to develop and execute quarterly earnings communications, including earnings press releases, executive scripts, Q&A materials, talking points, and support of investor messaging. · Help articulate the company’s financial performance, operating drivers, capital allocation priorities, and strategic roadmap in a manner that is clear, consistent, and financial stakeholder-relevant. · Support the development of external materials for earnings calls, investor conferences, analyst meetings, non-deal roadshows, and investor days. · Contribute to efforts to expand and elevate the company’s external financial narrative and visibility with investors and analysts, ensuring alignment across IR, Finance, Legal Affairs and Communications. · Ensure all communications are developed with a strong awareness of Regulation FD, disclosure controls and public-company governance requirements, in close partnership with Legal Affairs and Finance. External Finance Communications & Visibility · Lead or support external communications tied to financial and strategic milestones, including M&A, portfolio actions, restructuring, leadership changes, and other material developments. · Draft and refine high-quality content, including press releases, investor communications, executive messaging, FAQs, and backgrounders. · Support proactive and reactive engagement with financial and business media, including development of messaging, briefing materials, and preparation of senior leaders for external interactions, as appropriate. · Monitor financial media coverage and analyst commentary to identify themes, risks, and opportunities that inform messaging and engagement strategies. ESG & Sustainability Communications (Investor-Relevant) · Partner with Investor Relations, Finance, Sustainability, and Communications to support investor-relevant ESG and sustainability communications, ensuring alignment with financial disclosures and long-term value creation priorities. · Assist in developing clear, consistent external messaging around sustainability strategy, progress, and material ESG topics for financial stakeholders. · Gather and synthesize feedback from investors and analysts on ESG considerations and help inform internal discussions around evolving expectations and disclosures. Issues Management & Strategic Advisory · Partner with IR, Legal Affairs, Finance, and Communications on issues preparedness and response, particularly as it relates to financial performance, guidance, and investor-sensitive matters. · Serve as a trusted communications partner to Investor Relations and Finance leadership, providing sound judgment, strong project management, and disciplined execution. · Translate complex financial, accounting, operational, and healthcare-specific topics into accessible, accurate messaging for external audiences. Cross-Functional Collaboration · Work effectively across a matrixed organization, influencing outcomes through collaboration and credibility rather than direct authority. · Ensure alignment between external financial communications and broader enterprise messaging, without diluting investor focus or disclosure rigor. Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree or higher in communications, Journalism, Business, Finance, or a related field and Seven (7) years of experience in corporate communications with demonstrated experience in investor and finance communications in a private, public, government or military environment Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include: Experience in MedTech, medical devices, healthcare, or other regulated industries strongly preferred. Agency experience and/or experience supporting global or highly matrixed organizations a plus. Proven ability to manage multiple high-stakes priorities under tight deadlines with strong attention to detail. Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a proven ability to simplify complex financial concepts for various audiences. Strategic thinker with the desire and demonstrated ability to execute tactically. Highly organized and strong attention to detail. Strong analytical skills to interpret market and industry news and feedback to translate it into actionable insights. Strong understanding of financial/capital markets, corporate finance, and public company reporting requirements. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with competing priorities. Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of an organization.
