Job Title: Training Coordinator: Business Alliance Project Consultant (Temp) Location: Remote USA EST/CST Employment Type: [Part-time / Contract] 60days Overview: The South Central Virginia Business Alliance (SCVBA) seeks an experienced communicator and trainer to join us as an independent contractor. Over approximately 6–8 weeks, you will lead outreach and training efforts, helping members adopt the new “HUB” platform for posting and accepting business-related jobs. About SCVBA: SCVBA is a regional alliance of local businesses serving major infrastructure and economic development projects across South-Central Virginia. We facilitate connections between local contractors, service providers, and infrastructure owners—prioritizing local sourcing and workforce engagement. Key Responsibilities Reach out to SCVBA members—via email and phone — to schedule training sessions for the HUB platform. Conduct virtual training to demonstrate how to post and accept job listings. Clearly communicate benefits and features of the HUB in accessible, non-technical language. Track engagement, attendance, and provide follow-up support to members as needed. Organize and manage your own schedule, ensuring timely completion of all sessions. Provide regular updates to SCVBA Board on progress and member feedback. Create user-friendly guides, tutorials, and FAQs to support learning and adoption. Provide hands-on demonstrations to help users navigate the website effectively. Qualifications & Skills Prior experience in training, teaching, or instructional roles—especially with adult learners. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Must be comfortable training in a virtual environment. Excellent listening, time-management, and organizational skills. Comfortable working independently in a 1099/consultant arrangement. Minimal technical expertise is required—focus is on user-friendly training delivery. Ability to simplify technical concepts and explain them in a user-friendly manner. Proficiency in creating training materials such as presentations, guides, and videos.
