Full Description

This position requires an active TS/SCI CI Poly. Candidates who do not hold this clearance are not eligible for hire. Solidus is hiring a Senior Operational Software Engineer. This is an on-site role based in Aurora, CO. Day in the Life: • Evaluate operational software problems and provide immediate solutions to restore service, as well as integration and verification of new baselines • Support troubleshooting, maintenance, and documentation of software applications • Identify and isolate sources of system errors or unexpected performance • Perform testing, integration, and delivery of new software baselines • Conduct in-depth analysis and assessment with an end-to-end perspective of a complex system in operations Required Qualifications & Experience: • US Citizen with an active TS/SCI CI Poly • Undergo a comprehensive background investigation • Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) • 5 years of prior relevant experience • Experience with coding software in Java, or C++ • Experience in software development and/or software integration • Ability to evaluate operational software problems and provide immediate solutions to restore service, as well as integration and verification of new baselines • Troubleshoot, maintain, and document software applications • Identify and isolate sources of system errors or unexpected performance • Perform testing, integration, and delivery of new software baselines • Conduct in-depth analysis and assessment with an end-to-end perspective of a complex system in operations Preferred Qualifications & Experience: • Experience with software configuration management systems such as git or Bitbucket • Ability to work in a structured, configuration-controlled environment, primarily focused on the support and maintenance of real-time software applications on an Operations and Maintenance (O&M) contract. • Linux/Unix, GIT, and SQL experience • JIRA, BitBucket, and Confluence Benefit selection, customer contractual specifications, relevant work experience, skills, competencies, certifications, and clearance status will influence the final salary.
