Full Description

This position requires TS/SCI Clearance. Candidates who do not hold this clearance are not eligible for hire. Solidus is searching for a Senior Systems Engineer. This role leverages and enhances your expertise in requirements clarification, systems engineering analysis, algorithm development, requirements definition and derivation, interface definition, and requirements validation and verification — all critical skills that will directly contribute to the success of the program. This is an on-site role based in Aurora, CO. Day In The Life • Provide technical analyses and define how the system works creating use cases • Decompose requirements, define system interfaces and help determine how requirements will be validated and verified by the test team • Provide engineering support for the execution of a portion of the programs test program including test processes and baseline definition, test architecture design, verification, and validation • Support regression testing across deliverable releases to the program baseline. • Support and attend technical reviews and technical interchanges in support of the program Required Qualifications & Experience • US Citizen with active TS/SCI with the ability to obtain a Polygraph after start. • Undergo a comprehensive background investigation • Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) • 5 years of prior relevant experience • Experience in one or more of the following areas: operations concept development; requirements management; functional analysis/synthesis; interface definition and control; verification and validation • Development experience on a government contract • Knowledge of systems engineering lifecycle, roles and functions Preferred Qualifications & Experience • Good oral and written communication skills as well as good collaboration skills and the ability to work in a team environment • Experience with the Microsoft Office suite of tools (e.g. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) • Experience in Satellite Command/Control, Mission Management or Planning • Experience with Agile tool sets (JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket, etc.) • Working with requirements in DOORS or other requirements databases • DevOps and/or DevSecOps in an Agile development environment • Scripting knowledge (e.g.: Python) Benefit selection, customer contractual specifications, relevant work experience, skills, competencies, certifications, and clearance status will influence the final salary.
