We’re growing into two sites and building a new classroom for next year. Our goal is simple: create a safe, calm, joyful place where children—especially those with high needs—thrive. The Role We’re hiring an experienced Co-Lead Teacher to partner with our current Lead Teacher at Solid Foundation Academy. This year, you will share leadership of a 12-student preschool classroom, dividing students between two Lead Teachers for small groups, targeted support, and daily routines. Our current Lead Teacher is studying ASL and dreams to be a speech path. The goal is to find a co-teacher that can focus on academics while our current Lead Teacher focuses on classroom supports and parent communication and partnership. Next school year, as we expand into our new building, this role can grow into a primary Lead Teacher classroom (10 students + assistant). We’re looking for someone who wants to build a long-term career in early childhood education. Key Responsibilities • Co-lead classroom routines & safety: arrivals, transitions, circle, centers, lunch, nap, outdoor time. work in a team or 3. Two - Three teachers will divide 12 students for small groups intentional support. • Curriculum & instruction (shared): plan and teach developmentally appropriate, culturally responsive lessons. • Small-group leadership: divide students with the Lead Teacher for instruction, regulation, and learning support. • High-needs support: provide consistent routines and SEL strategies for children with developmental delays/autism. • Team collaboration: work closely with Lead Teacher, assistants, inclusion staff, and Director. • Family communication: daily connection, conferences, and progress updates. • Documentation & standards: maintain SPARK, PFA, licensing, assessments, and sanitation routines. What We’re Looking For Required • 2+ years classroom experience in preschool/early childhood (or closely related setting). • Strong, calm classroom leadership with consistent boundaries and routines. • Can lead 10-15 minute intentional lessons. • Confident supporting children with high needs, including autism. • Reliable attendance and punctuality—this is a leadership role. • Oregon Registry Online (ORO) enrollment and step verification. • CPR/First Aid (current or willing to obtain immediately). • Comfortable to work in a small in home business (site tours offered after 1st interview) • Able to start in January 2026. Preferred • AA/BA/MA in ECE, Elementary Ed, Child Development, or related field. • Experience with inquiry-based or play-based pedagogy, culturally responsive teaching, and differentiation. • Experience collaborating with IFSP/IEP teams and inclusion supports. • Reading or Speech experience.
