Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support elementary students with autism in a structured classroom environment. This contract position is located in Madison Heights, MI, serving an elementary school setting. The role offers a full school year duration with a focus on providing tailored educational support to a manageable caseload, ensuring impactful learning experiences. Key Responsibilities: • Deliver specialized instruction to a caseload of 5 students, with the potential to increase to a maximum of 7. • Collaborate with two experienced paraprofessionals who offer consistent support and familiarity with the students. • Implement individualized education programs (IEPs) and adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs. • Participate in professional development sessions scheduled for August 20th and 21st. • Begin classes with students starting August 25th. • Engage in munication with administration, parents, and support staff to promote student success. Qualifications and Experience: • Valid Michigan Special Education license in any category. • Experience working with elementary-aged children, particularly those diagnosed with autism. • Ability to work effectively alongside paraprofessional staff. • Strong skills in individualized instructional planning and student assessment. • mitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom environment. Schedule: • School hours from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM. This role offers the opportunity to impact young learners positively with a supportive team in place.
