Occupational Therapist – K-12 School Setting – Auburn Hills, MI This opportunity is ideal for a skilled Occupational Therapist with experience in school-based therapy, home health, teletherapy, or healthcare settings, looking to support students across elementary and high school levels. The position is a Certified Substitute Year (CSY) role covering a maternity leave from March through the end of the school year in a K-12 educational environment. Key Responsibilities: • Deliver occupational therapy services tailored to K-12 students’ needs. • Write and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) ensuring compliance with educational standards. • Monitor student progress regularly and adjust therapy plans accordingly. • Conduct evaluations and contribute to Multidisciplinary Evaluation Team (MET) reports. • Collaborate with educators, parents, and specialists to support student development. • Complete other related duties as assigned to facilitate effective learning and therapy outcomes. Desired Qualifications: • Licensed Occupational Therapist with relevant school and/or healthcare experience. • Competence in providing occupational therapy via teletherapy and home health modalities is a plus. • Familiarity with special education processes and requirements within K-12 school settings. • Strong communication and documentation skills for accurate IEP and report writing. • Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations across elementary and high school levels. • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professional standards.
