High school diploma or equivalent, 0-1 year experience, basic understanding of manufacturing practices, good interpersonal skills.
About the position Responsibilities • Inspects and measures product, either visually or through microscopes, to measure and record fabric characterization such as Ends per Inch (EPI), Pics per Inch (PPI), Courses per Inch (CPI), width, diameter, thickness, etc. • Inspects product for defects and contamination, according to Work Instructions (WI), Visual Inspection Criteria, SOP’s, and internal specifications. • Records and communicates test results manually and/or electronically. • Conducts extensive data collection to support the identification of trends to increase yields through process improvement. • Utilizes a variety of testing equipment including, but not limited to optical comparator, hot knife equipment, microscopes, and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) technology. • Packs product for transfer to final inspection and final packaging Requirements • High school graduate or equivalent. • Minimum of 0-1 year related experience. • Basic understanding of good manufacturing practices and working within regulated industries. • Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to get along well with others and work in a team environment.
