THE HIGH LEVEL We are looking for a Junior Cyber Security Engineer who will assist in preparing and maintaining ATO documentation. This role requires attention to detail, an understanding of cyber security principles, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with federal security standards. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of ATO documentation in accordance with federal guidelines. • Conduct security assessments and audits to ensure compliance with security policies and procedures. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify security requirements and address potential vulnerabilities. • Develop and implement security policies, standards, and procedures. • Monitor and respond to security incidents, ensuring timely resolution and documentation. • Stay updated with the latest security trends, threats, and technologies. WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE • Basic understanding of cyber security principles and practices. • Familiarity with federal security standards and guidelines, including NIST, FISMA, and FedRAMP. • Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate and thorough documentation. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security or a related field. • Four years of cybersecurity experience is accepted in lieu of a degree • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, or similar are a plus. • US citizenship is required. • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Security Clearance Preferred Skills • Experience in preparing ATO documentation or working within a federal security framework. • Familiarity with risk management frameworks and security assessment tools. • Knowledge of network security, endpoint security, and cloud security.
