Role Overview: As an ECAD Librarian/PCB Designer at Softworld Inc, you will play a critical role in managing electronic component libraries and designing printed circuit boards (PCBs) that meet stringent quality and security standards. This position supports our defense sector projects, requiring precision, attention to detail, and adherence to Department of Defense requirements. What You'll Do: - You will manage and maintain ECAD libraries using Mentor Graphics Xpedition or similar tools like Altium. - You will design and layout PCBs ensuring compliance with industry and DoD standards. - You will collaborate with engineering teams to support schematic capture and PCB design processes. - You will implement and enforce library management best practices to ensure data integrity. - You will assist in the preparation of documentation and design reviews. - You will support security clearance protocols and handle sensitive project information responsibly. - You will troubleshoot and resolve design and library-related issues promptly. - You will stay updated on the latest ECAD tools and design methodologies. What You Bring: - Minimum of 3 years experience with Mentor Graphics Xpedition or equivalent PCB design tools. - Strong knowledge of ECAD library management practices. - Experience working on Department of Defense projects or similar regulated environments. - Eligibility for security clearance and understanding of related compliance requirements. - Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. - Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with Altium Designer. - Prior security clearance active or recently held. - Familiarity with IPC standards and PCB fabrication processes. - Background in aerospace or defense electronics design.
