• Role: Associate Attorney - Trusts & Estates • Location: Northbrook, IL • Job Type: Fulltime - Onsite • Billable Hours: 1500 - 1680/Year Position Overview We are seeking a Trusts & Estates Associate Attorney with 2–5 years of strong trust and estate administration experience. The ideal candidate demonstrates long-term commitment in prior roles and brings a steady, reliable work history. While estate planning drafting experience is valued, the primary focus initially will be on administration. Key Responsibilities • Manage all phases of trust and estate administration, including probate and non-probate matters. • Prepare and review relevant court filings, accountings, and related documentation. • Communicate with clients, fiduciaries, and financial institutions regarding ongoing administration needs. • Support estate planning work as required, including drafting basic documents. • Maintain organized case files and ensure timely progression of matters. • Meet annual billable hour requirements consistent with compensation tier (1,500–1,680 hours). Qualifications • Juris Doctor (JD) and active Illinois licensure in good standing. • 2–5 years of direct trust and estate administration experience. • Estate planning drafting exposure preferred. • Demonstrated stability and longevity in previous positions. • Ability to commute to Northbrook within approximately 45 minutes, unless a consistent history of longer commutes can be shown. • Strong communication, organizational, and client-management skills.
