This role assists in developing client outreach, concentrating on our code expediting, fire and life safety, energy/ sustainability, envelope consulting, and special inspection service lines, presentations, and facilitating the proposal process for specific clients including budget and pricing development using standard models. This position will report directly to the Business Unit leader and will involve a variety of business functions, including but not limited to:Perform market research, in collaboration with other Client Development team members and senior technical staff, to identify opportunities, prospective clients, and to perform outreach activities. Outreach activity may include to existing or prior clients or to new clients within a targeted market segment.Develop a strategic business development plan in order to facilitate revenue growth for New York region. Create KPIs for the business development team.Establish and maintain on-going client relationships with the various parties to anticipate and resolve potential client needs. Assist other Client Development team members in developing outreach plans, defining roles and responsibilities, and the scope of work for each service offering with input from senior leaders and functional groups.Communicate back to internal groups the outcomes of the client outreach campaigns focusing on conveying the expectations set forth for each group, i.e. clear details, critical timeframes, expectations, and lessons learned/areas for improvement.Identify and attend relevant industry networking events, with senior technical staff, to develop additional client relationships and opportunities.Assist senior technical leaders in developing presentation and/or marketing materials as necessary to support client outreach.  Engage with in-house marketing staff as necessary for materials support.Assist in formulating standard/routine proposals in conjunction with team members and various functional groups.Assist in developing a price estimate using standard models.Track and report on the status of all opportunities and outreach programs.QualificationsBachelor’s degree with concentration in Business Administration, Marketing, or similar5-10 years of experience in Business Development, Sales, or Account Management Excellent written and verbal communication/presentation skills and strong organizational skillsKnowledge of the project structure in a client/consultant business environmentStrong computer skills, proficiency with Excel, Word, and PowerPointDetail oriented and highly motivated, self-starter, ability to work well with others under deadline situations and respond to changes in prioritiesAbility to work independently, take initiative, set priorities and see projects through to completionPrior experience with Deltek Vision, as a CRM, is a plusAdditional InformationSOCOTEC offers generous compensation packages including salary, benefits & bonus based upon relevant experience.
