Business Analyst Location: Local, On-site NYC (limited remote by approval) Employment type: Full-time W-2 Hours/week (target): 30–40 (baseline 30) W-2 hourly target: ~$59.61 (range DOE) Overview SMX Services & Consulting, Inc. translates business objectives into clear, testable specifications and orchestrates UAT within a Waterfall model, maintaining full traceability and driving timely acceptance. Responsibilities • Elicitation & Analysis: Workshops/interviews; BRD/FRD/SRS; acceptance criteria; baseline & manage changes. • Modeling: BPMN flows; data mapping; interface contracts (payloads, validation rules). • Traceability: RTM from requirement → design → test; versioning in Azure DevOps. • UAT Leadership: UAT plan/cases; schedule testers; triage; capture sign-offs. • NFRs & Docs: Capture NFRs (availability, performance, accessibility); user guides and release notes. Required Qualifications • 9–11+ years BA with UAT leadership and strong RTM discipline. • Proficiency with Visio/BPMN, SQL literacy, and ADO work items. Education • Bachelor's in Business, IT/IS, Computer Science, or related. Certifications • Preferred: IIBA-CBAP/CCBA; Lean/Six Sigma (YB/GB); Microsoft/SQL fundamentals; PROSCI.
