The Lead Analyst serves as a strategic partner to senior leadership, clients, and independent sales offices, translating complex performance data into clear narratives, actionable recommendations, and financial insights that drive growth, profitability, and field performance. The Lead Analyst owns executive-level performance reviews, builds and pressure-tests financial models that shape forecasting and compensation strategy, and leads data-driven problem solving with sales leaders to improve campaign profitability. Success in this role requires strong business judgement, executive presence, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to influence decisions through clear, defensible analysis. The Basics • Location: HQ Office - Newport Beach, CA (Hybrid, 2-3 days onsite) • Compensation: $130,000-$160,000/year, commensurate with experience + bonus potential • Travel: Up to 10% • Reports To: Manager, Analytics What You’ll Do • Serve as the primary contact for assigned accounts/campaigns, delivering sales analysis, financial reporting, and performance diagnostics to identify growth opportunities and improve profitability • Interface directly with independent sales representatives to analyze performance, optimize compensation structures, and identify strategies to maximize their earnings and business growth • Build and maintain financial models, including pro forma P&Ls, incentive structures, and scenario analyses to support forecasting and strategic planning • Conduct deep-dive sales and financial analysis to uncover trends, assess risks, and guide commercial strategy • Develop and maintain interactive dashboards in Tableau and Excel to visualize KPIs and support real-time decision-making • Validate and manage large, complex datasets to ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all reporting deliverables • Present insights and strategic recommendations to senior leadership, clients, and cross-functional teams in a clear, actionable format • Lead and collaborate on continuous improvement and process optimization efforts • Provide ad hoc analysis and support special projects as needed, contributing to broader FP&A initiatives What You’ll Bring • 4–6 years of experience in sales analytics, business intelligence, FP&A or a related field • Experience working with or supporting sales teams, franchise models, or distributed business units • Advanced proficiency in Tableau (including calculated fields and LOD expressions) and Excel • Strong analytical skills with experience validating, troubleshooting, and interpreting large, complex datasets • Skilled in financial modeling, forecasting, and operational analysis to support decision-making • Confident communicator, with experience presenting to executive and C-suite audiences • Demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-functional projects and deliver under tight deadlines • Experience in process optimization, and continuous improvement • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving clarity in complex environments • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field Smart Circle International is a leading broker of outsourced sales and customer acquisition services.
