HR Business Partner Associate Remote - USA The Smardt family is growing, and we are looking for an exceptional, motivated, flexible, and solution-oriented HR Business Partner Associate to join our team and help us reach new levels of success. About the Role This is an introductory role for individuals starting in the HR field, designed to provide hands-on exposure to both tactical and strategic HR initiatives. As an HR Business Partner Associate, you will support senior HR Business Partners by managing tactical activities in employee relations, performance management, and data reporting, while also contributing to strategic HR projects, policies, and procedures. The successful candidate will support assigned business units through the full employee lifecycle — from recruitment to exit — while building foundational skills in HR business partnering. Key Responsibilities • Talent Acquisition & Onboarding – Assist in recruitment, selection, and seamless onboarding of new employees. • Performance Management – Support annual and mid-year performance review processes. • Employee Relations & Engagement – Provide first-line support for employee concerns, fostering a positive workplace culture. • Compensation & Benefits Administration – Assist in data management and employee inquiries. • Employee Transitions & Separations – Support exit processes, including documentation and data updates. • Strategic HR Projects – Contribute to the implementation of policies, processes, and initiatives across the Americas. Minimum Requirements (non-negotiable) • 2–3 years progressive HR generalist or specialist experience in global/industrial/engineering organizations. • 2–3 years experience managing HR processes and projects. • Proficiency in HRIS systems (BambooHR preferred). • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel (data analysis). • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS). • Basic knowledge of employment law and HR compliance requirements. • Work Authorization: Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. At this time, the company will/will not provide sponsorship for employment visa status. Preferred Qualifications • Previous experience in employee relations, recruitment, or performance management. • SHRM-CP or PHR certification. • Bilingual (English/French) an asset. • Familiarity with HR analytics and reporting tools.
