PURPOSE OF THE POSITON The Program Manager for SMA Large Scale’s Advanced Engineering Services program will be responsible for growing this segment of SMA America’s business and ensuring that all Advanced Engineering Services projects are executed in an efficient fashion. The role will work closely with the internal SMA teams in US, Germany and India to manage Advanced Engineering Services project execution and project close out activities. PRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES Drive revenue growth via Partnerships and increased awareness of SMA’s product offerings and applications in which they’re needed. Promote and publicize SMA as an industry leader in timely project interconnections and stable grid modernization Assists with the generation of a quote and placing the purchase order into SMAs internal systems. Tracks and drives project execution, delivery scope and schedule, providing periodic updates (both internal and external), and upon completion of project assisting in ensuring payment and closing of project. Collaborates and communicates advanced knowledge with multiple teams – Sales, Business Development, Applications Engineering/Technology, BU counterparts in Engineering Services, Sapiens team, Inside Sales and Order Management, and accounting departments. Works with Sales Mangers, Business Development and Application Engineers to identify Engineering Service opportunities in pre-Sales phase of project or portfolio discussions, using advanced engineering knowledge. Communicate regular updates to customers. Responsible for project budgets. Develop and refine existing process and procedures to create greater efficiencies. Other duties as needed or assigned. REQUIRED TRAINING (TYPE / DURATION / FIELD / ADDITIONAL TRAINING) A bachelor's degree or equivalent years of work experience in technical discipline (e.g., electrical or mechanical engineering). Advanced certification in Project Management required. REQUIRED RELEVANT PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE (TYPE/DURATION) At least 7 to 10 years’ experience in projects related business. A broad understanding of Solar and BESS project architecture and design is required. Advanced solar inverter knowledge is required. At least 7 years of Technical Project Management experience. OTHER SPECIALIZED SKILLS Excellent collaboration skills Excellent overall business understanding. Ability to handle multiple projects in parallel. Capability to moderate workshops and team meetings. Excellent presentation and communication skills. Proficiency in English language, both written and verbal, is required. Working proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) in combination with good general computer skills. Working proficiency with leading customer relationship management (CRM) systems like e.g., salesforce.com. Strong customer orientation. Comfortable giving and receiving feedback. Focus on actions and results. Ability to work under pressure. Ability to handle complexity/to analyze and solve problems effectively. Ability to effectively present information to senior management and other audiences. Ability to build diverse and lasting relationships. Uses data for decision making/fact-based management. This position may require some travel.
