The Business Development Director will play a central role in shaping and executing Sōlaria Biō’s commercial growth strategy. Reporting directly to the COO, this individual will identify, structure, negotiate, and close strategic partnerships, licensing transactions, and other revenue-generating agreements aligned with the company’s long-term objectives. This role requires a highly independent, entrepreneurial operator who can originate opportunities, translate scientific value into compelling commercial narratives, and drive deals from first conversation through execution. The position is well-suited for a business development professional with a strong transaction track record and experience commercializing technical or regulated products. Key Responsibilities Deal Origination & Execution Identify, evaluate, and pursue strategic partnerships, licensing agreements, collaborations, and other commercial transactions that accelerate revenue and market penetration. Own opportunities end-to-end, from initial outreach through diligence, negotiation, and close. Strategy & Pipeline Development Partner with executive leadership and internal teams (R&D, strategy, finance) to build a robust and prioritized business development pipeline. Develop clear business cases that align product capabilities with market needs and partner incentives. Clearly prioritize opportunities and work with the Deal Steering Committee to manage the pipeline effectively. Negotiation & Deal Structuring Lead deal structuring and negotiations, balancing commercial value, scientific considerations, risk, and long-term strategic alignment. Drive efficient execution while protecting the company’s core assets and upside. Relationship Management Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including biotech companies, distributors, and strategic partners. Establish Sōlaria Biō as a credible, high-quality partner in the ecosystem. Market Intelligence & Positioning Monitor market dynamics, competitive activity, and emerging trends to inform partnership strategy and opportunity prioritization. Provide actionable insights to leadership on growth and monetization pathways. Cross-Functional Collaboration Coordinate closely with internal teams to ensure alignment on technical capabilities, regulatory considerations, and commercial objectives throughout deal development and execution.
