Requisition ID: 75890 Description Our Skyworks Irivine team is seeking a motivated student for a 6 month cross discipline Winter/Spring Co-Op with a focus on SW Engineerng using AI, but also requiring HW engineering validation. Responsibilities • You will be tasked with training an AI in planning, designing and deploying software tools that accelerate the development of test programs for Automated Test Equpiment (ATE) • Work with engineers to understand the best workflow and how best to translate that into automated outputs • Create user friendly interfaces to ensure hardware focused engineers can use the tools and reduce development time • You will be tasked with validating the software output on ATE platforms. Driving the tester, analyzing the data against released software and iterating until you have a 100% complete solution • You will be exposed to testing concepts for: LNAs, PAs, Filters, Digital Protocals, etc. • Long term goal is to reduce the development time for new products to be released Required Experience and Skills • Major: Electrical and Computer Engineering or Computer Science • Years of Study: 3-5 (Bachelor's level: junior/senior or first year Master's) • A solid background in basic electrical engineering principals • A solid background in software engineering principals (ideally in C/C++) • Willing desire for cross-disipline work in both hardware and software engineering • Introductary knowledge of AI principals • Must be willing to work onsite for 6 month Co-op Term (Jan - May/June 2026) Desired Experience and Skills • Knowledge of RF/MW Engineering principals and concepts • IP3, NF, P1DB, Modulation • Knowledge of Digital Protocols deployed for Front-End ICs • I2C, I3C • SPI • MIPI • Strong background in both Windows and Linux operating systems • The ability to create executables for either platform from shared codebase • Programming Languages and Software Skills • Strong understanding of OOP, standards, threading, etc. in C/C++ (Main Development) • Strong understanding of advanced scripting (Powershell, Python, Ruby) • Desire to learn AI programming • How to streamline creation of software with minimal input • Good understanding revision control software • git (preferred) • svn The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $26.00 - $47.50 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $22.50 - $42.00 per hour. Starting pay will depend on level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location.
