Job Title: Senior IT Administrator Department: Information Technology Position Type: Full-Time JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Administrator to join our team. This is a pivotal, hands-on role responsible for designing, securing, and maintaining the IT infrastructure of our growing credit union. This position bridges the gap between high-level strategic planning and daily technical execution. The ideal candidate will proactively manage our IT environments in partnership with our third-party providers, ensure robust cybersecurity and compliance with financial regulations such as NCUA, FFIEC, and GLBA, and provide ongoing IT support to our employees. This role plays a critical part in safeguarding member data while delivering reliable, high-performing, modern technology solutions that support our branches and digital banking services. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: ➢ Assist in the design and implementation of critical IT systems, including networks, servers, endpoints, and Microsoft Office 365. ➢ Manage secure access and the employee lifecycle for key credit union applications and tools. ➢ Own the execution of digital transformation strategies, including gathering requirements, defining intended outcomes and downstream impacts, establishing priorities with key stakeholders, and implementing optimized modern solutions. ➢ Manage and troubleshoot IT systems, ensuring solutions are designed and maintained in alignment with regulatory compliance guidelines, including NCUA, FFIEC, and GLBA, and actively participate in internal and external audits as needed. ➢ Respond to automated alerts and employee-generated IT tickets, ensuring issues are resolved within defined service-level agreements (SLAs). ➢ Execute information security frameworks across business and IT systems, including documentation, patching, and vulnerability management. ➢ Actively participate in IT projects as needed. CORE COMPETENCIES: ➢ Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to multitask and context-switch throughout the workday to resolve issues quickly. ➢ Proficiency with Windows Server and PC operating systems, Active Directory, and Microsoft Office 365 environments. ➢ Proficiency with network administration and key networking concepts, including routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs, and firewall management. ➢ Attention to detail with a meticulous approach to data security, configuration and access management, and audit readiness. ➢ Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for stakeholders and connect solutions to defined business outcomes. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS: ➢ Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent proven work experience. ➢ Five or more years of progressive experience in IT administration and infrastructure management. ➢ Proven experience building AI-driven solutions; Microsoft Copilot experience is preferred. ➢ Experience working with credit unions or other financial institutions is preferred. ➢ Two or more years of experience working with cloud-native solutions; Microsoft Azure experience is preferred. ➢ Understanding of regulatory compliance frameworks is preferred. ➢ Ability to lift 30 pounds when handling IT hardware and equipment.
