About the Role: Skillforce is seeking General Laborer - Journeyman to support ongoing construction projects in the Princeton, NJ area. This position requires a seasoned professional who can perform a wide range of physical tasks efficiently and safely, ensuring that projects progress smoothly and meet quality standards. The journeyman is expected to work collaboratively with skilled tradespeople, follow detailed instructions, and adapt to changing work environments and priorities. This role demands a strong commitment to safety protocols and the ability to operate or assist with various tools and machinery. Ultimately, the General Laborer - Journeyman contributes significantly to the successful completion of projects by providing reliable, skilled labor and maintaining a productive worksite atmosphere. Pay Range: $25-$30/HR (DOE) Minimum Qualifications: * High school diploma or equivalent. * Minimum of 3 years of experience as a general laborer or in a related construction or industrial role. * Proven ability to perform physically demanding tasks safely and efficiently. * Familiarity with basic hand and power tools used in construction and maintenance. * Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites. Preferred Qualifications: * Journeyman certification or equivalent recognized credential in a relevant trade. * Experience operating heavy machinery such as forklifts, skid steers, or backhoes. * OSHA 10 or 30-hour safety certification. * Basic knowledge of construction site safety standards and regulations. * First aid and CPR certification. Responsibilities: * Perform manual labor tasks such as digging, lifting, carrying, and assembling materials on construction or industrial sites. * Assist skilled tradespeople by preparing and cleaning work areas, handling tools and equipment, and ensuring materials are available as needed. * Operate or support the operation of machinery and power tools in accordance with safety guidelines and manufacturer instructions. * Follow all safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment for self and coworkers. * Load and unload materials, inspect equipment for defects, and report any issues to supervisors promptly. * Maintain cleanliness and organization of the worksite to promote efficiency and reduce hazards. * Adapt to various tasks and work conditions, including outdoor environments and physically demanding situations.
