HR Specialist (Generalist & Talent Acquisition) Brooklyn, NY Job Description: HR Specialist (Generalist & Talent Acquisition) Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated HR Specialist to join our growing home health care organization. This role combines the responsibilities of an HR Generalist with a strong focus on talent acquisition and clinician onboarding. The HR Specialist will play a key role in supporting our workforce, ensuring compliance with employment regulations, and building a pipeline of qualified clinicians to deliver exceptional patient care. Key Responsibilities HR Generalist Functions • Administer day-to-day HR operations including employee relations, performance management, and policy implementation. • Support compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. • Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data. • Assist with benefits administration, leave management, and payroll coordination. • Provide guidance to managers and staff on HR policies and procedures. Talent Acquisition • Partner with leadership to identify staffing needs across clinical and administrative roles. • Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract top talent in the home health care industry. • Manage job postings, candidate sourcing, screening, and interview coordination. • Build relationships with nursing schools, professional associations, and community networks to expand candidate pipelines. Onboarding & Clinician Support • Coordinate and facilitate onboarding programs for new clinicians and staff. • Ensure credentialing, licensing, and background checks are completed in compliance with regulatory standards. • Deliver orientation sessions to integrate new hires into the company culture and processes. • Monitor onboarding effectiveness and continuously improve the experience for clinicians. Qualifications • Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (preferred). • 2–4 years of HR generalist experience, ideally in health care or home health care. • Proven experience in talent acquisition and clinician recruitment. • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices. • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
