Sitemetric seeks a bar-raising, experienced Director, Joint Security and Operations Center (JSOC). This role will stand up and lead a new, 24x7 central hub for security and operational escalations. This role will report to the VP of Physical Security and will be responsible for building, managing, and maturing the JSOC into a world-class command and communications center that empowers Sitemetric to respond quickly, decisively, and effectively to security and operational risks. About the Role As Director, Joint Security and Operations Center (JSOC), you will be responsible for establishing and leading the JSOC as Sitemetric’s central hub for security and operational escalations. The JSOC will be empowered to identify potential risks, issue alerts, respond to escalations, provide guidance to mitigate escalations, and coordinate with operational and security teams to drive resolution. You will oversee the design and implementation of JSOC processes, technologies, and staffing models, ensuring that the center operates effectively on a 24x7 basis. You will also build partnerships across business units and with external stakeholders, ensuring the JSOC not only responds to incidents but proactively monitors, assesses, and communicates risks that impact operations. Key Responsibilities • Stand up and lead Sitemetric’s first Joint Security and Operations Center (JSOC) in Phoenix, Arizona, with approximately 25% travel • Build, lead, and manage a 24x7 team of operators, analysts, and shift leads to ensure global coverage for incident response • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for incident monitoring, alerting, response, escalations, mitigation, and resolution support • Serve as the central communication hub for all security and operational escalations • Monitor risk intelligence feeds and other inputs to proactively identify and assess potential threats • Issue timely alerts, advisories, and escalations to relevant internal and external stakeholders • Support partner teams by coordinating response efforts, tracking progress, and documenting all actions taken • Oversee after-action reviews and lessons learned to continually improve JSOC processes and resilience • Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure JSOC effectiveness • Partner with IT, operations, and security teams to integrate monitoring tools and communication platforms • Ensure the JSOC maintains compliance with applicable regulations, industry standards, and internal policies Basic Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university • 10+ years of experience in security operations, incident management, global security operation center management or related fields, including at least 5 years in a leadership role • Demonstrated success building or leading a Security Operations Center (SOC), Global Security Operations Center (GSOC), or similar function • Experience leading teams in a 24x7 operational environment • Strong knowledge of incident management frameworks and global security risk analysis • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with proven ability to manage communications during crises • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to deliver under pressure • Willingness to participate in pre-employment screening process (drug screen and background checks) Preferred Qualifications • Experience working in security or operations roles in the construction, technology, or critical infrastructure industries • Advanced degree in security studies, crisis management, or related field • Professional certifications in security or crisis management (e.g., CPP, CISM, CBCP) • Experience implementing and managing SOC technologies (SIEM, mass notification, incident management platforms) • Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional and executive leadership teams Perks & Benefits As part of the Sitemetric team, you'll receive: • Competitive pay based on experience and qualifications • Health, dental and vision insurance for full time employees • 401(k) eligibility • Eligible for discretionary bonus, based upon individual, team, and company-wide performance. • Accrued paid sick leave for all employee • Flexible paid time off • Employee referral bonus plan includes $50 for each referred candidate that completes a minimum of three (3) consecutive calendar months of service with Sitemetric. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and jobsite upon which work is being performed, and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, credentials, and experience.
