Job Purpose The Assistant Brand Production Manager supports the daily execution, coordination, and operational integrity of branded product manufacturing. This role focuses on schedule management, production data upkeep, floor coverage, METRC coordination, and facility support to ensure smooth, compliant, and efficient production operations. Working closely with the Brand Production Manager, this position acts as an operational backbone—maintaining systems, tracking performance, supporting staff on the floor, and ensuring production workflows remain organized, compliant, and on track. This role is ideal for a highly organized, detail-oriented operator who thrives in a regulated production environment and can flex between administrative, floor-based, and coordination responsibilities. This position requires schedule flexibility and may occasionally include weekend or evening work based on production demands. Duties and Responsibilities Production Scheduling & Schedule Management: • Support creation, maintenance, and real-time adjustments of production and staff schedules. • Track daily production progress against planned schedules and flag variances. • Coordinate schedule updates with the Brand Production Manager and Brand Director. • Assist with labor planning to ensure appropriate coverage across production lines. • Communicate schedule changes clearly to floor staff and cross-functional teams. Production Data, Audits & Reporting: • Enter and maintain accurate daily and weekly production data, including: • Units produced • Labor hours • Waste and rework • Throughput by line • Perform routine audits of production logs, batch records, and counts to ensure accuracy. • Support KPI tracking and upkeep in Google Sheets and shared dashboards. • Identify data inconsistencies, missing entries, or anomalies and escalate as needed. • Assist in preparing production summaries and audit-ready documentation for leadership review. Floor Coverage & Operational Support: • Provide on-floor coverage during production shifts to support workflow continuity. • Act as a point of contact for technicians and packagers when the Production Manager is unavailable. • Monitor adherence to SOPs, safety practices, and sanitation standards on the floor. • Assist with troubleshooting minor operational issues or escalating larger concerns promptly. • Support training reinforcement by ensuring SOP compliance during live production. Quality Control: • Ensure every batch meets Micro Greenz standards for appearance, weight, consistency, and packaging. • Conduct in-process and final QC checks. • Verify label accuracy, batch numbers, and component matching. • Document and investigate deviations and recurring issues. • Maintain and update SOPs to ensure alignment with evolving operational goals, compliance requirements, and industry best practices. METRC Requests & Transfer Coordination: • Prepare and submit METRC-related requests under direction of leadership. • Assist with METRC reconciliations by verifying counts and documentation. • Coordinate finished goods readiness for transfers, including: • Label verification • Quantity confirmation • Documentation preparation • Support transfer scheduling and communication with distribution partners (e.g., Nabis). • Ensure METRC-related records are organized, accurate, and audit-ready. Inventory, Pipeline & Sheet Management: • Assist with maintaining accurate production pipelines across Google Sheets. • Track raw materials, WIP, and finished goods movements related to production runs. • Support reconciliation between physical inventory and digital tracking systems. • Flag low inventory, mismatches, or process gaps to the Production Manager. • Maintain clean, well-organized production tracking documents used across teams. Facility Maintenance & General Repairs: • Conduct routine walk-throughs to identify facility issues, minor repairs, or maintenance needs. • Coordinate basic facility upkeep, including: • Organization of production spaces • Minor fixes or maintenance requests • Equipment cleanliness and readiness • Escalate larger facility or equipment concerns to leadership or external vendors. • Support enforcement of sanitation, cleanliness, and safety standards across the facility. Cross-Functional Coordination: • Communicate regularly with the Brand Production Manager on: • Production progress • Staffing coverage • Data or compliance issues • Coordinate with Inventory, Compliance, and Quality teams as needed. • Support smooth handoffs between production, compliance, and logistics functions. • Assist leadership with ad hoc operational projects or process improvements. Qualifications • 2–4 years of experience in cannabis production, manufacturing, or other regulated production environments. • Working knowledge of cannabis compliance requirements and METRC preferred. • Strong organizational and administrative skills with high attention to detail. • Comfortable working both on the production floor and in digital tracking systems. • Proficiency with Google Sheets and production documentation tools. • Ability to manage multiple workflows and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment. Job Requirements • Must be 21 years of age or older. • Must comply with all legal and company regulations for working in the cannabis industry. • Must be available for a flexible schedule, including occasional weekend work based on production needs. • Selected candidates will be required to complete a post-offer, pre-employment background check with local law enforcement.
