Overview H13 seeks specialized technical expertise to support the full-lifecycle design, integration, and deployment of advanced systems. The position encompasses end-to-end systems engineering activities, from requirements definition through verification and validation. Travel None anticipated Clearance An ACTIVE Secret Clearance is required for this position. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US Citizenship is required to obtain a clearance. Requirements Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC): Strong understanding of software development best practices and engineering principles. Systems Integration: Knowledge of system architecture and software integration techniques, with a proven ability to solve complex technical problems. Requirements Engineering: Experience in developing and analyzing functional, performance, and interface requirements. Test and Validation: Familiarity with test case development, unit testing, and hardware-software integration validation. Fielding Expertise: Demonstrated ability to perform effectively in a dynamic, operational range or field environment with a focus on delivering deployable products. Ability to work collaboratively with others to meet established goals and program schedules. Active Secret Clearance (or higher) Responsibilities Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SETRs), including SRR, PDR, and CDR. Contribute to the development and maintenance of core program documents, including the System Engineering Plan (SEP) and Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP). Develop comprehensive test plans, detailed procedures, and targeted test cases for system-level verification and validation. Execute rigorous testing to confirm system performance, reliability, and compliance with requirements. Perform root cause analysis on test failures and document findings, identifying actionable recommendations for system improvement. Generate and deliver formal technical documentation, including status reports, meeting minutes, and technical reports. Coordinate directly with hardware and software development teams to manage system integration, resolve interface issues, and mitigate potential conflicts. Collaborate with cross-functional Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to define system requirements, document interfaces, and proactively address technical challenges. Manage tasking, prioritize workflows, and provide clear, concise communication regarding progress, risks, and technical issues to stakeholders. Preferred Skills and Experience Strong knowledge of software development and electrical engineering. Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing, with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts. Experience documenting and tracking Change Requests (CRs) and managing tasks. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, and Word. Familiarity with safety analyses such as Preliminary Hazard Analyses (PHAs), System Hazard Analyses (SHAs), and Operating & Support Hazard Analyses (O&HAs) (preferred). Knowledge in MIL-STD-882, NAVSEA 8020 (preferred). Knowledge of Weapon Systems and Command & Control Systems (preferred). Education Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering or related field Compensation Compensation at SimVentions is determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, education, training, security clearance, work location, skills, knowledge, and competencies, as well as alignment with our corporate compensation plan and contract specific requirements. The projected annual compensation range for this position is $82,010 - $149,900 (USD). This estimate reflects the standard salary range for this position and is just one component of the total compensation package that SimVentions offers.
