Position Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Electrical Controls Engineer to join our growing team. This role is critical in the design, programming, and implementation of control systems for custom industrial machinery. The ideal candidate will have experience with PLC programming, electrical schematics, and industrial automation technologies. Key Responsibilities: • Design and develop electrical control systems for custom industrial equipment. • Program PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.) and HMIs for machine automation and control. • Create detailed electrical schematics and panel layouts using AutoCAD Electrical or similar software. • Specify electrical components including sensors, drives, motors, and safety devices. • Collaborate with mechanical engineers, project managers, and production teams to ensure seamless integration of control systems. • Provide technical support during machine assembly, commissioning, and field startup. • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and control system issues in-house and at customer sites. • Ensure designs meet all applicable codes, standards, and safety regulations. • Assist in the development and standardization of control system platforms and documentation. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field. • Experience writing code related to Ladder Logic and PLC Programs • 3+ years of experience in industrial control systems design and implementation. • Proficiency in PLC programming (Allen-Bradley preferred) and HMI development. • Experience with AutoCAD Electrical or similar software for schematic creation. • Strong understanding of industrial automation, control circuits, and safety systems. • Ability to travel occasionally for equipment commissioning and troubleshooting. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Preferred Skills: • Experience with foundry or heavy industrial equipment related to the foundry industry.
