A company is looking for a Literacy and Education Specialist who will partner with communities to implement literacy projects. Key Responsibilities • Partner with communities and organizations to execute literacy and education projects • Provide leadership and expertise in project planning and implementation • Develop literacy and education materials and facilitate workshops Required Qualifications • Bachelor's Degree with 1-3 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and training • Working knowledge of language and culture acquisition and literacy education • Experience in planning projects and previous multicultural experience is beneficial • Understanding of sociolinguistics, orthography, phonetics, and cultural anthropology • Familiarity with advanced software for literacy tasks such as primer construction and desktop publishing
