Role Overview: As a Software Engineer at Sigma Defense, you will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining both desktop and web applications. You will collaborate closely with senior engineers, business analysts, and end users to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet evolving business needs. What You'll Do: - You will design, develop, and maintain desktop and web applications to support defense operations. - You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including senior engineers and business analysts to gather requirements and implement new features. - You will troubleshoot and resolve software defects and performance issues. - You will participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices. - You will contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and tools. - You will support end users by addressing technical issues and providing timely solutions. - You will document software designs, processes, and updates for team reference. What You Bring: - You have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. - You have 3+ years of experience in software development, preferably with desktop and web applications. - You are proficient in programming languages such as Java, C#, or JavaScript. - You have experience with software development methodologies like Agile or Scrum. - You possess strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - You have excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with defense or security-related software projects. - Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure. - Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools. - Experience with database design and management.
