Role Overview: As a Software Engineer at Sigma Defense, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and maintaining both desktop and web applications. You will collaborate with senior engineers, business analysts, and end users to develop new features, resolve technical issues, and ensure the reliability and performance of our software solutions. What You'll Do: - You will design, develop, and maintain desktop and web applications to meet business needs. - You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including senior engineers and business analysts to gather requirements and deliver solutions. - You will troubleshoot and resolve software defects and performance issues. - You will participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices. - You will contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and tools. - You will support end users by addressing software-related inquiries and issues. - You will document software designs, processes, and updates clearly and thoroughly. - You will stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance software capabilities. What You Bring: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. - 3+ years of professional experience in software development. - Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, or JavaScript. - Experience with web technologies including HTML, CSS, and RESTful APIs. - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience in defense or government-related software projects. - Familiarity with Agile development methodologies. - Knowledge of database systems such as SQL Server or Oracle. - Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
