Role Overview: As a Software Engineer at Sigma Defense, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and maintaining both desktop and web applications. You will collaborate with senior engineers, business analysts, and end users to develop new features, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the software meets high standards of quality and performance. What You'll Do: - You will design, develop, and maintain desktop and web applications to meet user needs. - You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including senior engineers and business analysts to gather requirements and deliver solutions. - You will write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices. - You will participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and share knowledge. - You will troubleshoot and resolve software defects and performance issues. - You will support the deployment and maintenance of applications in production environments. - You will contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and tools. - You will stay updated with emerging technologies and apply them where appropriate. What You Bring: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. - 3+ years of professional experience in software development. - Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, or Python. - Experience with web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React or Angular. - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience in defense or security-related software development. - Knowledge of Agile development methodologies. - Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure. - Experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines.
