Role Overview: As a Software Engineer at Sigma Defense, you will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining both desktop and web applications. You will collaborate closely with senior engineers, business analysts, and end users to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet evolving business needs. What You'll Do: - You will design, develop, and maintain desktop and web applications to support defense operations. - You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including senior engineers and business analysts to gather requirements and implement new features. - You will troubleshoot and resolve software defects and performance issues. - You will participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices. - You will contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and tools. - You will support end users by addressing technical issues and providing timely solutions. - You will document software designs, processes, and updates for future reference. What You Bring: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. - 3+ years of professional experience in software development. - Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, Java, or Python. - Experience with web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like Angular or React. - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience in the defense or aerospace industry. - Knowledge of secure coding practices and cybersecurity principles. - Familiarity with Agile development methodologies. - Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
