As we embark on an ambitious journey of digital transformation, we are seeking a dynamic Senior Technical Consultant to spearhead our Digital Transformation Pioneering & Deployment team. This pivotal role is at the heart of our mission to redefine our Industrial Operations X Innovation Portfolio and develop and deploy novel Enterprise Solution Architectures with innovative customers and partners, driving innovation through digital excellence and collaboration. We are looking for a Senior Technical Solution Architect for our Smart Manufacturing and Digital Thread team. This position is remote and can be based anywhere within the continental US. You’ll make an impact by: • Manage and own customer engagement across multiple manufacturing industries and segments, acting as a trusted advisor from both business and technical perspectives. • Leverage a deep understanding of customer business needs, engineering processes, and industry best practices to engage Siemens and partner resources effectively. • Conduct visioning and scoping workshops, identifying collaboration opportunities and defining key sales scenarios generating immediate business revenue and impact and expedite sales processes. • Develop solution architectures, demos and present those in workshops, proof-of-concept sessions, and status reviews. • Manage stakeholder expectations and technical implementation, addressing ambiguity, creep of scope, and technical challenges. • Leverage customer validation centers to assess technical feasibility of novel solution architectures prior to first customer deployments, then expose them to larger sales & customer audience. • Maintain strong knowledge of Siemens DI automation and software portfolios, connecting these to digital threads that deliver comprehensive solutions for customer core business challenges. • Maintain and update dashboards and/or other related documentation of customer workshops, customer success stories, sales opportunities, and relevant discovery efforts. • Collect, structure, and communicate customer requirements through internal tools, enhancing feedback loops for portfolio and product development. • Advocate for transformative ideas and amplify the voice of the customer to influence product roadmaps, organizational priorities, and global strategies. • Establish and maintain trusted relationships with Sales, Business Development, Account Teams, and Vertical market teams to identify and prioritize co-innovation and digital transformation opportunities. • Attract and retain customers through superior value delivery. You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications: Basic Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical. electrical engineering, computer science or IT with focus on fields relevant to Siemens Digital Industries e.g. automation, simulation, AI/ML. MBA is a plus. • 10+ years of experience in manufacturing processes and production operations in a variety of manufacturing industries including Electronics, Semiconductor, Food & Beverage, Aerospace & Defense, Automotive, Battery, Pharmaceuticals, involving machine builders and end users. • 10+ years of systems & solution engineering, technical consulting, assessment, incl. scope and requirement definition, proof of concept development and hands-on deployment projects in the manufacturing space. • Great communicator and track record in establishing strong customer relationships in highly technical, solution-oriented environments. • Comprehensive knowledge in architecting complex Digital Manufacturing Automation Solution comprising PLCs, SCADA, Drives, edge computing, and OT/IT Integrations. • Deep technical knowledge of design and hands-on implementation experience of edge computing solutions for advanced manufacturing, like machine vision, AI/ML inferencing. • Willingness to travel 35% (domestic/international). • Must currently reside in the continental USA. Qualified Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States and will not require employer sponsored work authorization now for employment in the U.S. Preferred Qualifications: • Master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science or software engineering. • Knowledge of Digital Threads methodology and practical applications, experience with Siemens tooling for customer requirement collection and solution mapping. • Industrial standards used in Smart Manufacturing • Deep technical knowledge of MES and PLM (Siemens Opcenter and Teamcenter), as well as ERP software solutions and the role these solutions play in Siemens' horizontal offerings that combine hardware and software. • Hands-on experience with Siemens Industrial Edge platform. • Hands-on experience with SIMATIC automation platform, TIA Portal, WinCC (Unified and OA), Scalance, SIMOTION, SINUMERIK. • Hands-on experience and understanding of new portfolio elements such as Software Defined Control, Asset & Data Management, Industrial AI and Edge portfolio, Insights Hub, Mendix, RapidMiner Studio and Graph. • Extensive network within Siemens Digital Industries across Business Units, product groups, functions & hierarchies • Highly motivated and driven business professional with a can-do attitude • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritize competing demands and manage multiple projects simultaneously. • Problem-solving skills that will solve challenges of our customers and help become even more efficient internally Create a better #TomorrowWithUs About Siemens: We are a global technology company focused on industry, infrastructure, transport, and healthcare.
