The Opportunity Varian is seeking a Strategic Account Project Manager with advanced project management experience. In this role you plan, coordinate, and supervise the implementation of Varian products with our customers. This opportunity is suitable for a candidate who has a minimum of 5 years of project management or equivalent professional experience. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a structured working methodology, and the ability to collaborate across functions of the company, our customers, and 3rd party contractors. The Role/Attributes · Plans, coordinates, and supervises the implementation of Varian products with our customers, contractors, and Varian internal stakeholders independently. · Works on projects of diverse scope and significant dependencies, typically several software products are in scope, with customers being complex sites or large multi-sites · Routinely works with Luminary, Strategic, Complex, or other high-visibility customers and projects · Supports and leads New Product Introduction (NPI) projects · Perform routine project management tasks to ensure customer compliance with technical requirements for equipment implementation and minor upgrades · Manages multiple projects concurrently · Potential to travel 10-25%, participates in on-site visits · Provides qualified input and feedback with support from subject matter experts (SMEs) · Identifies and mitigates project risks and issues · Coordinates resources and equipment shipment schedules · Provides reports indicating installation activities including tight control of installation forecast · Provide feedback and work on process improvement, training, and documentation What Is Needed to Succeed · Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of related experience, or equivalent related work experience · Project management experience with software implementations, working with mid to large volume clients, or with large corporate environments · Ability to track numerous projects, assess and communicate risk to all stakeholders and develop team cohesion is necessary · Proven track record with project risk assessment and mitigation ability · Collaborate effectively with and lead cross-functional teams · Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple project workloads · Advanced written and verbal communication skills; ability to articulate and present ideas internally and externally · Proficient in utilizing business tools and Project Management tools such as SAP, Salesforce, Timeline, Visio, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. · Exercises independent judgment, prioritization and discretion in solving complex business problems · Requires no day-to-day supervision, understands when and from whom to seek guidance when needed · A general knowledge of network design, software control systems, and server management. The base pay range for this position is: Min $89,220 - Max $133,820 Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. If this is a commission eligible position the commission eligibility will be in accordance with the terms of the Company's plan. Commissions are based on individual performance and/or company performance.
