Performs technical, mainly pre-defined tasks for accomplishing defined service delivery work for customer equipment. • Service Area – remote, preference central or west (Chicago, Denver area) The successful applicant will execute Second level MRI Magnet Support, service and repair functions at Customer sites with minimal supervision. The position is second shift and requires significant domestic travel (~80%), with occasional international requirements. Establish and maintain good working relationships with internal and external customers, peers and vendors, while performing necessary administrative duties timely and accurately. Responsibilities: Coordinate own travel to meet on-site maintenance, installation, service or repair schedule requirements of Super Conducting MRI Magnets. Work, communicate and collaborate effectively with internal Siemens partners. Perform maintenance protocols and procedures according to scheduled requirements, to maintain uptime of customer’s equipment. Perform semi-complex mechanical and electrical repairs or troubleshooting on Super Conducting Magnets to identify failure modes and root cause analysis Safely handle or transfer cryogenic gases such as liquid helium or liquid nitrogen within the scope of planned work. Respond to semi-complex second level service calls. Participate in the assessment of semi-complex product/equipment performance based on field support data and recommend modifications or improvements. Maintain own Tools and Test Equipment and comply with calibration schedules and processes to ensure reliable and repeatable service delivery. Contribute ideas and feedback for continuous improvement (for example process, product, tooling or customer experience) to support the ongoing success of the team and Siemens. Required Knowledge, Skills, Education and Experience Associates or Bachelors degree preferred, or 2 years minimum vocational technical training or Military experience. 5+ years field service experience preferred, as well as demonstrated customer relationship skills. Strong oral and written communication skills required. Strong mechanical skills needed; background with refrigeration and or superconductive magnets is a plus. Must be proficient in the use of mechanical tools and service test equipment Able to work safely within strong magnetic field environments without any health or physical limitations Perform duties while standing on designated platforms and within limited working spaces Valid Driver License and good driving record is required. The annual base pay for this position is: Min $62,200 - Max $93,300 Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. If this is a commission eligible position the commission eligibility will be in accordance with the terms of the Company's plan. Commissions are based on individual performance and/or company performance.
