Transform the every day with us Siemens is looking for a Head of Federal, Aerospace and Defense for their Digital Industries sectors. The Head of US Federal, Aerospace, and Defense (FA&D) for Digital Industries is responsible for the development and implementation of Siemens' strategic initiatives within the U.S. Federal Agencies, Aerospace, and Defense sectors, leading to the achievement of profit, growth, customer, and employee satisfaction goals. This role requires an adaptive leadership style to engage with teams and stakeholders, creating a culture of trust and belonging by making people development, collaboration, and diversity an absolute priority. You will make an impact by: Lead and oversee the FA&D business unit, managing the deployment of the Siemens' portfolio and automation solutions across the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, other Federal Agencies like DOT, DHS, etc, and major A&D OEMs and commercial aerospace customers Develop and execute comprehensive market strategies for the DoD and A&D sectors, ensuring harmonious coordination between business development, government affairs, federal sales teams and A&D OEM coverage Manage ongoing analysis of the FA&D markets; identifying relevant threats and opportunities; recommending and implementing changes to strategy and positioning Drive assessment of growth opportunities and coordinate with internal stakeholders to screen potential opportunities Develop relationships with customers and regional/country sales, execution, and marketing organizations to understand customer needs and translate them into actionable requirements Provide thought leadership focusing on end-users in the FA&D sectors Oversee and grow the FA&D business segment You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications: Basic Qualifications: Minimum 10 years of experience selling large strategic enterprise solutions to the DoD with ability to navigate complex sales cycles, or equivalent large OEM customer sales experience Strong history of quota achievement over career 5+ years of demonstrated experience in relevant Information Technology/Operational Technology markets Experience with government contracting and contract vehicles Executive leadership, negotiating, and influencing skills Excellent public speaking, written, and oral communication skills Strong organizational abilities and strategic thinking capabilities Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship. (mandatory due to DoD client policies and procedures) Preferred Qualifications: Military background (advantageous for understanding the industry we serve) 4-year college degree or equivalent work experience Experience with Microsoft Office suite, SAP, and Salesforce.com Demonstrated ability to get results in complex customer environments Proven ability in identifying vertical market opportunities and commercializing solutions About Siemens: We are a global technology company focused on industry, infrastructure, transport, and healthcare. The pay range for this position is 156,450 - 268,200 annually with a target incentive of 46% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
