PROJECT MANAGER Job Description Salary Range: $80,000–$100,000 1.0 INTRODUCTION This Position Guide establishes and describes the functional role, requirements, authority, responsibilities, duties, and performance measurements for the Project Manager position at Siegner and Company. The Project Manager is responsible for the successful execution, coordination, and financial performance of awarded projects from contract award through project closeout. 2.0 FUNCTIONAL ROLE The primary function of the Project Manager is to plan, coordinate, and manage all assigned projects to ensure quality execution, schedule adherence, customer satisfaction, and profitability. This role serves as the primary internal and external point of accountability for project performance after contract award. 3.0 REQUIREMENTS 3.1 Education Required: • High School Diploma or GED (equivalent experience may be substituted) Preferred: • Four-year college degree from an accredited institution with emphasis in construction management, engineering, or business-related studies 3.2 Licensing / Certification Required: • Valid Oregon Driver’s License 3.3 Experience Required: • Minimum of three (3) years of project management experience in construction or a related industry Preferred: • Experience in commercial, light industrial, or high-end residential construction • Experience in the painting, coatings, or wall covering industry 3.4 Knowledge • Working knowledge of construction project management principles • Ability to read and understand contracts, plans, specifications, and schedules • Understanding of job costing, budgeting, and cost control • Familiarity with industry-related contracts, terminology, and standards (including PDCA standards) 3.5 Skills • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Ability to interpret financial reports and manage project budgets • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and project-related software tools • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities 3.6 Physical Requirements • Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and climb as required on job sites • Adequate vision and hearing to perform job-related duties safely and effectively 3.7 Mental Requirements • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations related to project costs and schedules • Ability to communicate effectively with employees, customers, vendors, and management • Ability to understand construction equipment, tools, and software systems 3.8 Legal Requirements • Signed Non-Disclosure and Non-Solicitation Agreement 3.9 Working Conditions • Combination of office-based work and regular jobsite visits • Occasional travel to job sites, vendors, suppliers, training sessions, and industry events 4.0 REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS • The Project Manager reports directly to Company Ownership. • No direct reports are currently assigned to this role. 5.0 AUTHORITY The Project Manager is granted the authority, within company policies and applicable laws, to manage assigned projects, coordinate internal resources, communicate with customers, and take appropriate action to ensure successful project outcomes. 6.0 RESPONSIBILITIES 6.1 Individually • Represent the company professionally at all times • Maintain a working knowledge of industry best practices, materials, and technologies • Support company values, policies, and procedures 6.2 Corporately • Ensure all project-related contracts and agreements are executed in accordance with company standards • Assist in identifying and mitigating project risks • Collaborate with management and office staff to support accurate project documentation and financial reporting • Participate in company meetings, trainings, and functions as required 7.0 PRINCIPAL DUTIES 7.1 Project Management • Review and understand all awarded project contracts, including scope of work, billing terms, change order procedures, and schedule requirements • Prepare and maintain complete project files, including work orders, schedules, contact information, submittals, and documentation • Coordinate project startup activities with field operations, including scope review, scheduling, materials, and equipment needs • Serve as the primary liaison between the company, customers, and field personnel for assigned projects • Conduct regular job-site visits to monitor progress, quality, safety, and cost control • Identify, communicate, and resolve project issues related to scope, schedule, quality, or budget • Manage change orders and ensure proper documentation, approval, and billing • Provide accurate and timely billing information and project updates to office personnel • Review and approve material and equipment invoices related to assigned projects • Assist with the collection of progress payments and change order billings as needed • Participate in project closeout activities and post-project reviews to evaluate performance and profitability 8.0 MEASUREMENTS OF PERFORMANCE The Project Manager will be considered to be performing satisfactorily when the following outcomes are achieved: • Projects are completed on schedule and within approved budgets • Project gross profit margins meet or exceed company expectations • Additional work is captured in a timely fashion • Accurate and timely billing and documentation are maintained • Jobsite quality, safety, and customer satisfaction standards are consistently met • Effective use of time and prioritization of responsibilities • Adherence to all company policies, procedures, and reporting requirements • Positive contribution to the company’s reputation and
