For more information, visit www.ShiftKey.com. The role As a Product Data Analyst II, you will be the dedicated analytics partner for two of our highest-impact product squads. You’ll work closely with their product managers as a true thought partner - shaping experiment design, guiding where and how new features should launch, and ensuring the right data is captured from day one. You’ll spend most of your time in SQL, investigating product performance, running experiments, and translating results into clear, actionable recommendations. This is a highly autonomous role; you’ll be expected to deeply understand your product areas, proactively surface insights and opportunities, and help drive decisions that directly influence our roadmap and business outcomes. Where you’ll work This position is open to U.S.-based candidates and offers flexibility to work remotely or from our offices in Dallas, TX, or Cleveland, OH. What you'll be doing • Partner closely with two core product squads and their product managers to understand goals, define success metrics, and translate product ideas into concrete analytical plans. • Design and execute experiments on new and existing features, including scoping test populations, determining rollout strategies, and monitoring “do no harm” tests where sample sizes are smaller. • Write high-quality, efficient SQL (primarily in Snowflake via Hex) to investigate product questions, build custom analyses, and create clear, reusable queries that power reporting and decision-making. • Define tracking requirements for new features and collaborate with engineers and designers to ensure the right data is captured from day one, enabling robust analysis over the lifecycle of a feature. • Analyze experiment and feature performance data, synthesize findings into clear narratives, and make concrete, data-backed recommendations to product managers and business stakeholders (including when to roll back changes). • Collaborate closely with the analytics team (including your manager and peer analysts) for code reviews, feedback, and shared best practices, while independently driving your own roadmap and owning outcomes in your domain. What you'll need • 2+ years of professional experience as a data analyst or in a similar analytical role. • Advanced SQL skills in modern data warehouses (Snowflake or similar) for writing complex, performant queries. • Proven experience performing data-driven analyses beyond dashboards, including experiments, deep dives, and generating insights that inform product decisions • Strong ownership mindset with the ability to independently identify opportunities, scope analytical work, and drive projects from ambiguous questions to clear recommendations. • High bias for action and "get things done" mentality, comfortable working in lean teams where speed, responsiveness, and reliable execution are critical. • Clear communication skills to explain complex analyses and tradeoffs in a concise, business-friendly way to business stakeholders. Perks of working for ShiftKey • Inclusive and collaborative work environment where all voices are valued. • Hybrid-friendly office spaces designed to be fun and engaging. • Comprehensive health, vision, and dental coverage. • Benefits begin on your first day. • Generous PTO and company-paid holidays, including flexible floating holidays. • 100% 401(k) employer match up to 6%. • Paid parental leave. • Wellness support, including access to mental health resources. #LI-Remote Our Commitment to Diversity ShiftKey is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to embracing diverse and individual perspectives shaping our culture and contributing to the solutions that transform the world. We actively work to create an inclusive environment for employees to thrive.
