Full Description

Description Alaska Northstar Resources is currently seeking a Technical Writer to join the team on a long-term project. The Technical Writer will be responsible for but not limited to the following: • Create and maintain a program, administrative, security, and technical data repository accessible to the government and government-approved stakeholders; establish processes and methodologies for documentation version control. • Create, update, and publish AU IT investment documentation in support of cloud modernization and cloud services support, establish a process to route documents for review and approval, and track feedback for document accuracy. • Integrate with AU IT investment stakeholders to collect and disseminate program, administrative, security, and technical information. • Attend all IT investment meetings, taking notes, summarizing action items and deliverables, and scheduling within the program office. • Implement best practices for information management. Requirements Candidate must be a US citizen. Candidate must have a minimum of an active DoD Secret clearance. Candidate must have CompTIA Security+ or other 8570 IAT Level II certification (or be able to obtain within 30 days of hire date) Candidate must have at least 3 years of experience with the following: • Creating, updating, and publishing organizational documentation in technical document repositories. • Experience with best practices for information management including establishing processes/methodologies for documentation version control, approvals, and feedback/response tracking. • Ability to deliver accurate and complete documentation based on required timelines. • Comfortable working with and briefing government stakeholders. • Ability to integrate with stakeholders to collect and disseminate program and technical information. • Experience capturing and publishing meeting notes, action items, and deliverables. • Experience scheduling meetings with multiple teams. • Experience with Cloud implementations. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work productively in a team environment and participate as a positive and cooperative team member. • Strong verbal, written, organizational and documentation skills. Desired Knowledge, Skills, Abilities • Knowledge of the Air University Training Platform. • Experience working with DOD contracts. • Experience with CloudOne hosted platforms. • Experience with AWS environments and concepts. • Technical competency to participate in Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs) discussing technical business requirements. Work Environment Office environment. Requires ability to provide clear, concise, accurate and timely communication, both verbally and in writing (100%). Requires ability to interact professionally with co-workers, management, and client (100%). Occasional business travel may be required. Only requested and approved expenses will be covered by ANR.
