Can you keep our HPC systems running smoothly? We’re looking for a HPC Support Engineer to join our IT team in Houston. Supporting the day ‑ to ‑ day operation of Shearwater’s high ‑ performance computing infrastructure you will be central to keeping our HPC platforms available and reliable for geophysical processing while building practical, hands ‑ on expertise across the full HPC stack. You will support the operation of NVIDIA H200 GPU compute clusters, parallel storage and job scheduling platforms, providing first and second line support to geophysical processing teams both onshore and offshore. Technically speaking… We are looking for an individual who has experience and knowledge of HPC systems with skills in Linux system administration, computer hardware and cloud who can drive change. The role includes supporting job scheduling using Slurm and you will be exposed to storage technologies such as DDN and NFS. You will also support hardware deployments and follow security and compliance controls relevant to HPC operations, including ISO 27001.
