We are looking for a software engineer with cloud infrastructure and web application scaling experience. You will work on cutting-edge technologies and research, and apply them to impactful search, recommendation and personalization problems. Qualifications B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science or another technical field 5+ years of industry experience in a Software Engineering role Strong foundation in programming, data structures, algorithms, and software application design Hands-on experience managing and scaling Kubernetes clusters Previous experience with infrastructure as code (CDK, Terraform preferred) Passionate about solving challenging problems and iterating quickly Previous experience in analytics, machine learning or data processing is advantageous. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Domain expertise in production recommendations, search, machine-learning or AI is preferred. Experience orchestrating AI/ML workflows Responsibilities Design, build and maintain Shaped distributed cloud infrastructure and platform services Work on scaling, automation, reliability and observability of infrastructure Help debugging issues and supporting our customers Contribute to engineering planning, roadmap and culture About Shaped Shaped is the fastest path to relevant recommendation and search systems.
