Over the past 67 years, Sessler Wrecking has grown into one of the largest turn-key Building, Bridge, & Industrial Demolition specialists in the country. We are seeking a candidate to support the Southeast Division of Sessler Wrecking. This opportunity will be working in an exciting and high-growth environment, focusing on Project Management. Sessler Wrecking’s second office is in the beautiful Charlotte Metro region of North Carolina. This position would require some traveling. Job Overview The Project Coordinator will work closely with and be integral to all areas of operations, including estimating, scheduling, and project management, in addition to supporting all day-to-day project management functions. • Review project plans, specs, addendums • Assist with the review of contracts with the management team • Assist with the buyout of materials and subcontractors • Populate project kick-off sheets • Coordinate kick-off meetings • Assist with submittals • Assist with project schedules During the demolition phase, you will work on the following: • Assist with the RFI process • Schedule resources to projects • Coordination of required permits, notifications, and utility tickets for the assigned project • Perform the job checklist and review • Assist in project tracking, cost control, reporting, and invoice approval • Review labor hours weekly • Collect, manage, and oversee project-related documents • Oversight of information from the field to the office • Assist with project closeout • Assist with coordinating overall day-to-day operations Requirements • Four-year degree (preferred) or any equivalent combination of training and/or related experience • Background with construction, demolition, transportation, or engineering firms is a plus, though not mandatory • Strong knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) to create reports and communicate effectively. • Experience in using scheduling software to manage project timelines and resources efficiently. • Solid understanding of construction methods, engineering principles, and building codes. • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically in dynamic project environments. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams and clients. • Ability to work independently, creativity, and mature judgment in anticipating and solving unprecedented problems are essential • Must possess good communication, interpersonal skills, time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines, excellent verbal/written communication, strong organizational, and multi-tasking skills.
