WorshipTools is looking for a Developer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, coding, and implementing visual elements and application element behaviors that ensure software functionality in response to user interactions. The developer will also be responsible for collaborating with other front-end and back-end developers to build client-side logic and will be instrumental in creating desktop, mobile and web applications used by churches all over the world. What You Will Be Doing: * Collaborates with clients, internal teams and stakeholders to understand user needs and develops user-facing applications and features to meet these needs. * Develops reusable code that can be applied to future applications; builds code library/index to support that ability to access/apply code to future use cases. * Provides feedback or alternatives to internal team to ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs. * Optimizes applications for maximum speed and scalability to handle increasing amounts of data or user traffic. * Develops and maintains design languages/guides for applications to ensure consistency across family applications. * Establishes and maintains continuous integration (CI) pipelines for web, mobile and desktop applications to automate testing, building, and deployment processes for applications. * Conducts code reviews to ensure quality, maintainability, and to identify and resolve issues/bugs. * Keeps up-to-date with industry trends and new technology developments to continually improve development practices. * Guides and mentors junior developers. * Special projects as assigned based on team/business need. What Makes You Qualified: * Strong understanding of JavaScript, both client (browser) and server (NodeJS). * Strong understanding of web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3. * Strong experience with JavaScript client frameworks like VueJS, Angular etc. * Strong understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX. * Strong understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around such issues. * Familiarity with front-end build tools, such as Webpack and Vite. * Familiarity with platform frameworks like Electron and Cordova. * Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as git. * Good understanding of browser rendering behavior and performance.
