Position Summary The Director of Finance & Accounting role serves as a strategic financial thought partner and operational leader, acting as the integrator to align vision with execution and drive company performance. This role ensures the integrity of financial reporting, compliance with regulatory requirements, and delivers strategic financial guidance to support organizational growth and long-term sustainability. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership • Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the companys long-term goals. • Advise the CEO and executive team on financial planning, risk management, and capital allocation. • Drive initiatives to improve profitability, cash flow, and operational efficiency across all Cafes. Financial & Lender Management • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis processes tailored to QSR operations. • Manage treasury functions, including cash management, banking relationships, and investment strategies. • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with GAAP and other regulatory standards. • Serve as the primary financial representative in lender negotiations and discussions. • Develop refinancing models, perform covenant analysis, and evaluate debt restructuring scenarios. Accounting Oversight • Direct all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger. • Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets. • Supervise month-end and year-end close processes and coordinate external audits. Compliance & Risk Management • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations. • Monitor and mitigate financial risks, including credit, liquidity, and operational risks. • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of QSR industry trends and regulatory changes. Team Leadership • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team to achieve departmental and organizational goals. • Oversee a team of 4-5 professionals, including an Accounts Payable Analyst, Staff Accountant, Senior Accountant, and Finance Controller • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration. Qualifications • Education : Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or MBA strongly preferred. • Experience : Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. Skills : • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and compliance. • Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills. • Experience with Restaurant365 accounting software is highly preferred. • Proficiency in financial systems and ERP software. • Exceptional leadership and communication abilities.
